The Future Skills Centre (FSC) is a Canadian innovation and applied research hub dedicated to helping Canadians develop the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing labor market. Established in 2019, FSC collaborates with various partners to conduct research, fund innovative projects, and share insights on emerging skills and workforce trends. The “What Works for Newcomer Integration” insights include the importance of comprehensive needs assessments, cultural orientation, ongoing support services, and strong employer engagement to ensure successful outcomes for newcomers in the Canadian labor market.
