Harold Cardinal

Harold Cardinal, a member of the Cree Nation, was a prominent advocate for Indigenous rights and self-determination. As a leader in the Indian Rights movement, he co-authored the landmark book “The Unjust Society,” which critiqued Canadian government policies towards Indigenous peoples. Cardinal’s activism laid the groundwork for future Indigenous rights initiatives and negotiations.
