Charles Murphy

Charles Murphy has over a decade of experience advocating for Newfoundland (Ktaqamkuk) and Labrador’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities through peer support, fundraising, and awareness. As a founder and Executive Director of Quadrangle NL, Charles led efforts to secure $890,000 in government funding to establish a community center for queer and trans people. They develop inclusion-focused policies, champion sexual health advocacy with organizations like the Community-Based Research Centre, and advocate for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights at provincial and federal levels. Charles also facilitated PFLAG’s St. John’s chapter and co-founded RaiseUp Fundraising NL, raising significant funds for marginalized communities.
