Dr. Sheila Singh has spent her career trying to cure brain cancer. A professor at McMaster University, Canada’s leading university in healthcare and medicine, and serving Director of several cancer research groups, Dr. Singh is exactly the kind of scientist Canada should be fighting to keep.

Diversity initiatives are critical in building a strong Canada. In light of this and in honour of Pride season across the country, The Pearson Centre is proud to publish a series highlighting the importance of and contributions by queer organizations.

Change is inevitable. The sooner we embrace it; the sooner we make progress.  Unfortunately, that truth seems lost on the Ontario government, which appears convinced that public servants and their workplaces can, like Marty McFly, hop in a DeLorean and go “back to the future.”
