Please join us for the Pearson Centre Leadership Awards 2024 saluting organized labour for its leadership on advancing progressive social change

The Pearson Centre is proud to recognize organized labour for its leadership in advancing and enshrining positive, progressive social change.  We are pleased to have this opportunity to salute the pioneering role unions have played in advancing equal opportunity; reducing barriers to participation; fighting for fair wages, job security and safe, inclusive workplaces; for leadership on equity, diversity and inclusion; and for providing opportunities for training and retraining so that all workers have the right to good jobs and rewarding careers.  Progressive societies around the world have always followed labours’ lead.

Representing organized labour groups across the country, the 2024 Leadership Award Honourees are:

Dave Bulmer

David Bulmer, President & CEO, AMAPCEO, Ontario’s Professional Employees Union

Linda Silas

Linda Silas, President, CFNU, Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions

Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland, Executive Director, CBTU, Canada’s Building Trades Unions

Réné Jansen
